The Tsinghua Alumni Association of Greater Kansas City Area (Tsinghua-KC) is a non-profit organization registered in the State of Kansas. Its members include students (who receive at least one degree from Tsinghua at Beijing or Tsinghua at Shenzhen), faculty members, and staff who are living in the States of Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, and Oklahoma. The mission of Tsinghua-KC is to provide services to our members and communities they reside. The motto of Tsinghua-KC is the same as the one of Tsinghua University: Self-discipline and Social Commitment. The values of Tsinghua-KC are embodied in these ideals: Encouraging communications and building relationships between Tsinghua University and U.S. universities, organizations, and business entities. Promoting academic, culture, and social exchange between China and U.S. Fostering collaborations between China and U.S. in academia and business. Since its establishment in April 2006, Tsinghua-KC has organized a variety of activities/events to promote its values and reached out to many universities, organizations, business entities, and communities in China and U.S. If you are interested in joining Tsinghua-KC, please contact the president of Tsinghua-KC or any of its board members. 美国中西部地区清华大学校友共庆佳节 校友聚会合影（陈光博摄影） 来自美国中西部地区堪萨斯州和密苏里州的清华大学校友及家属60余人在美国劳动节周末（2011年9月3日至4日）聚会于密苏里州的Lake of the Ozarks。该湖域是美国中西部的著名旅游盛地。在这夏末秋初之际，校友和家属们尽情的享受了大自然的阳光、湖水和清新的空气。大家在一起烧烤、垂钓、徒步、划船和购物。更难得的是，大家能有机会在一起回忆在清华学习、生活的情景。参加聚会的最年长的清华校友是1977级，最年轻的校友是2011年清华本科毕业生。虽然校友间年龄差距比较大，但丝毫不影响彼此间的沟通。在活动结束的时候，大家纷纷表示，希望中西部的清华校友能够加强沟通，增进彼此之间的合作，并且积极地为母校建设和发展做出应有的贡献。分手之时大家相约明年再次相聚。本次活动由堪萨斯城清华大学校友会会长白勇（土木工程系1981级）、圣路易斯清华大学校友会（筹）会长史云斐（工程力学系2001级）、密苏里州Rolla地区清华大学校友会（筹）会长邓建军（经管学院MBA2003级）和密苏里大学（Columbia）曾文军教授负责筹办。此次活动还受到了其他校友及家属们的大力支持和帮助。 Our Sponsors If you would like to be our sponsors, please contact the president of Tsinghua-KC or any of its board members.
